What is MSE Shed Development Subsidy?
The MSE Shed Development Subsidy helps Micro and Small Enterprises build their own industrial shed/factory within GIDC or notified industrial estates. The scheme covers a portion of civil construction cost, making it viable for first-generation entrepreneurs to own their manufacturing premises.
Who Qualifies?
- Micro and Small Enterprises (Udyam-registered)
- Plot allotment within GIDC or DIC-notified industrial estate
- Units constructing shed for manufacturing activity
- First-time industrial property owners (in certain variants)
Subsidy Quantum / Benefit
25–30% of construction cost, subject to a maximum of ₹15–20 Lakhs per unit. Women entrepreneurs may get enhanced subsidy.
How to Apply
Obtain GIDC plot / DIC-notified plot allotment letter
Apply on iPlus portal with construction plan and cost estimate
DIC inspection during and after construction
Submit completion certificate and CA certificate of expenditure
Subsidy disbursed post-inspection
Expected Timeline
Claim processable after construction completion; typically 3–4 months for disbursement.
